Yes, unlike the mantra of no news is good news, when I make posts they tend to be more good news than bad. The machine have been running a bit poorly. That is to say, mine had a kerplunk moment, and just yesterday I got it working again. Back in action, two ponies printed - Flitter and Cloud Chaser - and a the princess of bedroom eyes is making her way ever higher on the printer today - Princess Molestia! I suspect she'll be taking most of the day to herself on the machine, that's just a hunch.
So while her majesty ascends from nonexistence to greatness, I'm going to let you in on something. I work at a laser cutting facility now - in the mornings specifically - and that means a regular ordered schedule can be followed! That means that I can regularly work while having ample time to do the printing work as well! So, with that in mind, I'm going to try a very determined thing: Since we can print two standard figures in a day, and prepare two standard figures in another, and paint them in a third - I'm going to see about getting this Flitter and Cloud Chaser fully finished as soon as I can.
Molly will be a bit of a different story, given her size and all - takes a lot more time to smooth, too big for the vapor chamber so she needs extra extra time being prepared and then done with the workaround methods. Ah, but a working airbrush, lovely little rotary tool, fresh files and a stock of plastic on the way means that little shall stand in the way now.
I thank all of you for your patience, it shouldn't be long now before you all get the goodies.

It dawns on me
I still haven't posted anything here yet. Maybe that should change, I guess I am making a map so maybe that'll satisfy folks?
Miserable Weather
So it's been a busy few days. I've spent quite a bit of time in the garage the first few days as I'm hacking together a machine with hand tools and a hand drill. That's some character building right there my grandfather would tell me, but then I'm sure he'd flip the bird at the weather outside today.
I'm not one who normally cares about the cold - ask Clawed-Nyasu - I relish it in fact. However when it's spitting rain for two days straight it kind of makes it hard to feel comfortable taking a rather bare electronic motor that plugs straight into mains electricity through the back yard. I really can't afford to risk this thing getting wet.

Another couple weeks and...
It's fall everyone, wonderful fall times abound. And as a slave to both technology and keeping up traditions only one year old I'm building a machine to improve the surface finish of the figures.
Yes. Again. See, vaporing does take a lot of the work out of it, but with using new or different plastics - even the same type from different manufacturers - they have different properties that make vaporing a little bit prohibitive. As a result of weeks of research and of now a little under a day of construction I near completion of what could very well be not just our answer to finishing the figures but potentially a lot of other people's answers
Wake up early, walk to the machine room.
See an an Orange Frog.
"Huh, that is... increasingly more comical the more I think about it." Then I removed the supports, sanding it a little and took it with me into my room.
And completely forgot I was going to eat some bacon bread for breakfast, I'm gonna have to remedy that.
This is a hell of a frog though.
